I just came home from school a few minutes ago and checked in on my
gerbils. They must have had a fight while I was gone because one of
them had a bite on its neck and the other a small bite on its tail. I
seperated them to the best of my ability (limited resources) by putting
one in a runabout ball on the floor and leaving the other in the tank.
Will the bites heal on their own? Can I reintroduce them today or will
they have to permanently live seperately? I've only had one pair of
gerbils before these, and the others never fought so I have no clue what
to do. I bought them in August and they've been fine since then, no
fighting. What should I do here? Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
