I've heard (but never had first hand experinence) that
the two mom situation can lead to pup stealing and
killing.
I've had good luck with single mothers raising litter,
so that would probably be the safest way to go.
But what about more than one dad? I have a female in
with my four boys. (I was at an open house and there
was a pretty little red fox -- in 1/2 pine, alone
since their cat ate her sister, with a open slat
wheel, etc. etc. so she ended up coming home with me)
Since I'd have no one to pair her with for another
month, I tried her with my four boys. They all were
very excited about this and accepted her as boss (let
me know if anyone wants the details on introducing her
to the clan). And now have all clanned nicely.
But when she gets pregnant should I remove her?
or would they all help out with the pups?
Thanks, Donna
