There are many net sites that can help you. If you go to www.google.com and search for "gerbil care"
or "gerbils" you will get all the info you need. Also when i was just starting out i found The Dani Clan we site. This was a huge help! look for "the dani clan" at google also, i am not sure of the address but that will et you there. You should NEVER pick a gerbil up by its tail! Always put your hand under them or cup it around them. If you have to you can use a cup and scoop them up. If you can find a breeder that you can get them from they are better in many ways. They are already tame, they are well socialized,etc..You also have less chance of getting one that is sick. But i have some pet shop gerbs and with a little work they can be great too. Oh and by the way i hope you meant you want two gerbils from the pet shop. You should never keep a gerbil alone unless absolutely necessary. Like if they wont get along with othe!
