Hi, list - I just adopted some gerbils from a lady and her young daughter. Here's the situation: Mama gerbil had 7 babies, and the entire family (Daddy gerbil, Mama and babies) got loose. Mama took the babies into the wall. The lady managed to catch the Daddy gerbil and got 3 babies, and she brought the 4 of them to me. Since the babies haven't been with Daddy for over a week, they weren't put back in the cage with him. Instead, they're in their own cage. When I got them, I moved them into a nursery tank. I have the replacement milk and all the equipment, but I have a question. I haven't had to foster baby gerbils for a LONG time, and I just want to make sure I do everything exactly right. These gerbils are about 15 days old, and I'm just wondering how often I need to feed them. Thanks! ~Lanie AGS member and registered breeder *Royal Star Gerbils* http://www.angelfire.com/ks2/royalstargerbils PS - I got some new baby dwarf hampsters - SO cute! I'm trying to get some pics of them to put up on my site. I'll let you know when I do. :)
