I've also found it easy to pair young and sexually
mature males and females. So far they've always breed
within 1-4 days. Donna

Oreo2 is almost 3 years old and Patty is about 10
weeks old (based upon appearance). I was lucky they
accepted each other. Is also possible, that certian
pair combinations are more successful. And this is one
type.
Possible successful pairing types:
Male=less than 10 weeks old, Female=less than 10 weeks
old.
Male=over two years old, Female=less than 10 weeks old
Female=over two years old, Male= 10-16 weeks old.
Male= 3 months and over Male= 4-5 weeks old.
Members have you been able to introduce gerbils
without needing a divider? If so what were the
varibles/ages.
Patty may almost be ready to mate she was starting to
present herself to Oreo2. On Saturday Oreo2 wanted to
mate but she wasnt ready. Now he isnt ready. Perhaps,
tomorrow they they will mate.
