Weve finally been having problems with our big clan of 11 now 6 after 2
deaths. We seperated a guy who's eye was shut and the other looked funny,
his neck was bloody. I went to go check on him this morning and his back
leg isnt working and the other eye that was funny is only open a little. He
was also very skinny so when we put him in his own cage he ate a lot. My
first question is: Is there anything I can do to help him?
So he wouldnt be loleny we put another male in the cage with him because
he was freaking out. My next question: How long can I keep the healthy one
away from the clan so he dosent become a lone gerbil if his hurt friend
dies?? I seperated them last night around 9.
Now we have 5 males and 2 femals in the big cage and we plan to seperate
the sexes.
Is there any suggestions. I had an idea this would happen eventually
but it was like all of sudden we are finding dead gerbils in the tank. They
seemed so peaceful before.
