Hello and welcome to the GML! Glad you and your boys are having so much fun
with your little critters.
An important piece of information that seems to be missing from your post is
the reaction of your sick gerbil to the change in bedding.
Have you noticed any change in her appearance, demeanour, behaviour etc.,
since changing bedding?
It appears, from your last paragraph, that all three gerbils are responding
well to the change. Does that include Chuckie? Is she less hunched over,
fur less puffed, moving faster, stool less runny?
Sometimes it's hard to diagnose gerbil ailments, and all one has to go on is
behavioral change after you've tried something different.
Keep a look out for good changes, or a return to normal behavior, and if
that happens it's likely that an allergy was the problem. Sometimes, though,
stress *can* trigger all kinds of things, and moving a gerbil from a
familiar environment, even if they've been moved with buddies, can be very
stressful.
