You can try breeding Simba and Shorty by allowing them
to see each other for a few moments each night in a
box, until Simba is ready to mate. However, this
breeding method is risky because they may fight. You
will need to wear heavy gloves. Female gerbils are
ready, every 4-5 days or so. **This breeding method is
not commonly used and must be done with caution.**
After the pups are born a daughter can stay with the
mother and a son can be introduced to the father at 35
days old.
