my 1 year old male accepted 4 young gerbils (6 weeks old) to his
tank - NO PROBLEMS.
he thinks he is their father... but not for long, cause there are only
young females. :-) so i will split them soon.
Good luck!

Subject: PLEASE I NEED YOUR HELP
I had two gerbils in a
single tank and the father recently passed away and I
know that a gerbil cannot
stay alone or their lifespan will decrease. He is
one year old and a little
heavy and he looks to be eating less. I need help
on what kind of a gerbil
I could introduce him to. Should it be one his age
or younger? I am just completely
clueless. The women at the pet store said
that it was better to get
an older one but I didn't think so. Please help me
out on this before it is
to late. Any response on my situation will be
greatly appreciated. Thanks you
should introduce the male to a baby gerbil 7-10 weeks I heard that males
accept babies more than the females do I do not know if this is true but
that is what I heard. when you do get the new gerbil always do the split
cage method. -good luck
