I got a gerbil about 4 days ago. She was fine for about 24 hours but
then she went into a depression. She slept for the last 24 hours
without getting up except to eat and drink. So I put another one in the
cage with her and she is so excited she wants the new one to play, but
the new one came from a cage in the pet store with her mom, dad,
brothers and sisters and is very scared and sitting in a corner right
now. So my older one is bringing her bedding and food and trying to
push her into the center of the cage. It is very cute. I will have to
wait and see if she perks back up. She was very healthy at the store
and very curious. It will be interesting to watch.
