Actually this sounded gruesomely mean. I should
have said let the vet put it to
sleep euphemistically.
I keep a gorgeous salt water marine setup and many
authors suggest the quick "slap"
technique as an emergency for dying (an expensive
unfortunately) fish, so I've been
a bit desensitized to the issues
here.
Apologies if this was rather offensive. :-(
gerbils are way above intelligence compared
to mere fish.
Take it to the vet, he'll goto sleep
painlessly.
