Possibly she's about to deliver. Which means she kicks him out
about the time of delivery...give them another day or so to see
if he starts chasing her all over and there's pups in the nest.
Has she gone into a frenzy of nest-building-rebuilding?
Has she gotten noticeably plumper in the last few days?
Did this happen relatively suddenly, like in the last day?
