Almost any litter would work if its 8 inches deep and
mixed with shredded paper and cardboard.
I've used shavings mixed with paper and the gerbils
were able to tunnel.
Litters that work with shredded paper are Carefresh,
Aspen and well aired out or kiln dried pine.
Im not sure about corncob.
