Well, my two little pups are now five days old! I got scared that these two
wouldn't survive after the third one died on the first night (fear brought on
by Ophelia's first litter, which had only two pups and didn't survive), but
they're doing GREAT! They're starting to get a tiny bit of fuzz now, and
they've got little 'Vulcan Ears', as I've started to call them! ;) If
anyone wants to look, here's the URL to a picture of them (hopefully it'll
work):

Alright, anyway, to my question! With there being only two pups, my next
worry is that they might not both be the same sex. I have to wait until
around Day 10 before I can determine their sex, right? Have any of you had
an experience where there were only two pups, but one of them was male and
the other female? I don't plan on selling my gerbils as breeding pairs,
because the mother and father are also brother and sister, I think, so
there's no way I'm going to be able to keep the pups together if they ARE two
different sexes. And I can't keep them with the parents once they're
sexually mature, nor would I want to put them each in a separate tank by
themselves.

So if any of you have had this problem, what do you do? Start advertising
early so that there will be people to adopt each of them by the time they're
ready to be sold?

I know that's probably a silly question, but indulge me...this is only my
first time! ;) Oh yeah...this question didn't get answered the last time
(unless I accidentally deleted the response), so hopefully it's alright to
ask again. Is it still possible to join the Gerbil and Jird webring? I
didn't get the HTML code either in email form, or on the page following the
application, so I wasn't sure if it's still working or not!

Thank you, guys (again)! :)
