Hi. I have a 1.5 to 2 yr old male gerbil that has never been very
friendly. I'm wondering how I can tame him more. He won't let me touch or
pick him up. He will however accept treats from my fingers through the
bars, and nuzzles my face when I put it close to the bars. He sits in my
hand if I put it in the cage, but I can't actually pet him or lift him.
Also is there any way I can introduce another gerbil or is it far too late
for that? I don't want a fight to happen, but he looks lonely.:/ I didn't
research gerbils before I bought one, and was unaware they were supposed to
live in pairs or more.:/
