I'm trying to tame a family of school gerbils (lots of being passed around a bunch of 11 year olds makes them a bit jumpy). I've found that plain Rice Krispies and Corn Flakes work as a treat to tempt the gerbils onto my hand. Also, sprays of millet seeds are popular, and I don't think they are too fattening. Perhaps this would work for others. Laura in Dublin Rolled Oats are good too, if they'er not already part of their food. Molly
