My two gerbils had their first litter on Friday. They had 8 pups. So far I
have found 2 dead pups that have been kicked out of the hide-away. Is this
normal or are the parents not taking good care of them? They also have
kicked up quite a bit of bedding over the other 6 pups. I think some more of
them could be dead, but I can't even see them anymore. Should I take off some
of the bedding the parents kicked over them or should I leave them? They also
have not been spending much time with the pups. Should I leave them or should
I interfere?
