Hi all,
I am very upset and puzzled with this little one
who passed on this morning. He was very healthy until about Saturday afternoon
when he looked very ill. (thin and again the bare spot on his back) Also I had
noticed his legs looked bare as well. He was eating and very active up until
this morning when he passed away. He just didn't look well early this morning
when I woke up (very thin, dehydrated and gasping for his breath,) and had
passed within 20 minutes.
I have never seen a pup go down hill in such a
short period of time. Literally overnight, as last night he was nursing, and
walking around a bit. He was 2 weeks and 2 days old.
Again he was fostered to another nursing mother,
and his sibling died at just under 3 days. (Parents were separated at their
birth and the babies removed) However, the mice babies and older pup were (and
are) fine.
I separated the cage he was in, from the rest of my
gang, but am concerned for everyone else's health. And of course am watching
everyone very closely.
Anyone have any clues as to why this happened?
