Lightened black

[ABCgerbils]

What genetic would cause a black pup to be lightened
slightly?  All of the black pups in this litter are
uniformly dark but a deep charcoal versus black.

Their genetics are: aaCcbEeGgPpspsp (cool, huh?)
is it the cb, the g, both together?  what about the e
and p?
