I met the breeder this morning and got my three bushy-tailed jirds (all males). What cuties they are! Really active ... their activities so far seem very much gerbil-like. They explored their new cage for a bit and now I think they are sleeping. They squeak similar to a gerbil! And thump or stomp their feet like gerbils when they're scared, I think (one of my rats got on top of their cage).
