Remove the male when these pups are a little older, maybe when their eyes open, to prevent a third litter. Assuming you don't intend to get into the breeding thing ;)
 
Yes, you will have a second litter as gerbils mate immediately after delivery. Keep the water bottle and food dishes full so mom can eat as much as she needs.

we bought two supposodly female gerbils, december last year only to find out last wednesday that they were actually m/f. we now have 6 babies. if anyone has any advice i would be extremely grateful.  we do have a large tank for them already and another on the way, but i would be grateful for anyone with info regarding housing colonies of m/f gerbils. We are hoping to keep some of  the offspring and are aware that we will probably end up with another lot of pups.
