Well, folks, the little black pup is up and kicking! His eyes opened
this past Friday, and last night I saw him tackling the solid foods.
It looks sooo funny to see this little guy trying to lug around this
small pellet - the ones they commonly have in gerbil mix feed -
because to his mom it's just a few mouthfuls, but to him it's a
feast! I'm assuming he will always be a bit smaller than others his
age, but his curiosity and playfulness know no bounds. I have been
keeping an ear and eye out for any further change in the faint
erratic clicking noises, but they have remained the same. I started
him on antibiotics nonetheless about 2 days ago.

So here's my question:

I'm having a very difficult time trying to get him to take the
medicine, as he still hasn't shown any interest in the water bottle,
and am having to feed it by eyedropper. The thing is the only thing I
have close to an eyedropper around the house is one of those infant
medicine droppers - the ones that come with Tylenol or the like. Is
the tip of this just too much for the little guy? He squirms so much,
I have a hard time keeping him still enough to get just a drop-full
in. He does take some at least. I'm just afraid I might squish him
just a bit too much one night, because I have to hold him so tight so
he won't squirm out of my fingers. Any suggestions?

Thanks! I really appreciate all the help everyone has given. It's
like being a new mother all over again, accept this time the babies
are all furry! :)
