Actually DTW's definitely have pink/red eyes. It's black eyed whites that don't. Himalayans/DTW develop a dark tail as they get older, hence the name DTW.
 
It's easy to be confused since their genecode is P*, however the c(h)c(h) combination always creates a red-eyed white animal regardless of the P locus. However those with P* will develop a dark tail (or usually do) and those with pp don't.
