All of my black gerbils have white on their front paws and right under their
chins.  The black gerbil I have with the most white markings is a pied that
has a white stripe down the middle of his back fromm his tail almost up to
his big white patch.  I am not sure how common the spots on paws are, some of
mine have them but I am specifically breeding for lots of spotting.  Sounds
like he is cute.
