If she acts fine, and moves about normally, she is probably fine. If
she is pregnant, I imagine this fall *could* have harmed the pups, but
then again, maybe not.

Gerbils are hardy little creatures. They're also very quick! Don't feel
guilty about dropping her; it happens! I think most of us who've had
gerbils for any length of time have dropped a gerbil. Every once in a
while one lands *just* the wrong way and gets hurt, but most of the
time they're just fine.

There's really no sure way of knowing about possible injury to the
hypothetical pups. If she gives birth to a large, healthy litter in the
next couple of weeks, you could safely conclude that the pups had
suffered no injury. If she has a small litter, or a couple of
stillborns or imperfect pups, the fall might have caused it, or it
might have happened anyway. If she doesn't have a litter right away,
she might have miscarried/reabsorbed the pups, or she might not have
been pregnant! So don't beat yourself up about it. It happened, it was
an accident, and you'll try not to let it happen again.
