I adore my two gerbils more than anything.. I even like to sit and
watch them sleep (SOO cute.. my friends think I'm nuts) They are
living in a bird cage for the summer, since their split-level is away
at my school, and my clever mother took pity on them (the hate the
round cage.. ) and made a platform in the upper part of the cage,
which they leap up upon and half the time miss it and you hear a
scrambling and see a white gerbil belly hurtling through the air.
(SOOO cute!!)
But my the reason I wrote is this:
Are you gerbil greedy? I really should be satisfied with my 2, but I
want more and more.. especially when people talk about snakes and
gruesome gerbil demise. Does anyone else have to be torn away bodily
from a pet shop? ;)
*LOL* I think ANY animal lover has to be torn away (sometimes thrown
over the shoulder and hauled away!) from a pet shop. We're a pathetic
mess aren't we?
My husband and I have made a pact that we NEVER go in a pet shop,
unless we actually have the intention of buying a pet... otherwise we
end up bringing something home any ways. If it's not fish for Chris,
it's some other odd creature for me. :P Of course, there was the day
we went in to Petsmart to pick up fish food, and ended up bringing
home Siggy, our dog. Never regretted it though. :)
