I have heard of this before, but only once. We have a couple of oddeye
rats. The phenomenon is most common in animals with white spotting.
White spotting is caused when pigment cells fail to migrate to the right
places early in the development of the embryo. It is rare, but sometimes
the cells also fail to migrate to the one of the eyes.
