Okay, one happy announcement and one sad announcement,
bad news first...my black male gerbil, Joshua, is sick. With what? I have no idea, that is what I'm asking the list Okay, these are his symptoms: always has his mouth open sucking air, making raspy sqeaks every time he takes a breath, an infected nose, and his spine is all arched up in a bump. My poor baby! he has been sick like this for months, I thought it would pass but it didn't. Actually it has been getting worse. Whenever I play with him or when he's in his ball or wheel, Joshua will start rasping really bad, like he can't breath. My first thought was some kind of resperitory (I know I spelled that wrong, sorry) infection. Which might make sense because the gerbs were on pine bedding for a while (like a month) untill I switched then to paper shreddings. But Joshua is almost a year old, he's not a baby gerb. If you have any ideas on what the case is or how I can help him, please tell me! Thanks!
Okay, the good news now. Joshua was paired up with my female, Iris awhile back. They are SO dedicated to eachother! well, on July 25 a litter of 5 babies were born, four girls and one boy = Emma, Paige, Maggie, July, and Matthew.(ha ha, I always use people names for my gerbs) Okay, 4 of them are lined up to go to a GOOD petstore, I trust these people because it's a small family owned store that will take care of the gerbs. I'm happy, the babies are growing fast and all healthy. So ,that's my happy little announcement. I'm keeping Matthew baby, he's my fav. Okay.........so.......yeah, that's all I have to say for now, Thanks for any replys! Bye!
