I know what you mean!!!  I remember when I'd first gotten my two male
gerbils, and one night I looked in their cage and saw the agouti with only
his lower half visible outside his house...he was on his back, and his hind
legs were up in the air...My heart was thumping, and I opened the wire door
to tug on his foot, but the sound of the door opening made him jump up!

They both like sleeping on their backs, though...sometimes I'll see Henry on
his back with William lying across his belly, and other times the positions
will be reversed!  That's about as weird as their sleeping positions get,
though!  ;)
