If neither of the pair are 'experienced' (i.e., done it before, period)
it can take them until they are 8-12 months old to get started.
Now pick yourself off the floor. A young pair taken away from their
parents at 6 weeks old, then kept with other inexperienced young
gerbils, then paired up; can take this long to get the idea.
A subscription to Playgerbil, slinky underwear, takeout chinese,
and mood music just won't work.
Not even sticking their tank next to the pair that knows what
they're doing and are pornstars in the gerbil world will give
the clueless the hint.
Luck to both of you that your gerbils finally figure it out.
