Ok... *berates herself* I did a little more homework AFTER the fact
of writing. I believe now that she is a Nutmeg... but when I looked
at CP Nutmegs, they all have MUCH lighter coats, and hardly any
ticking. As far as I can tell, this little girl is about 10 weeks
old. Surely by then she has completely molted. So is it normal for
the tail and the nose and feet to be so much darker than the rest of
her body? She is SUCH a beaut! Though because she came from an
"accidental" mating, she is still rather skittish about being
handled, and because she's been broken up with her clan, is rather
wary of my other gerbil. Just giving them a bit of socializing time
before I set up the split cage.
So, with the lousy pics I provided, does everyone more or less agree
that she is most likely SOME form of Nutmeg?
