CWS probably stands for Canadian White Spot a kind of out of date name for the white spotting in gerbils. More likely she is a black spot than a slate spot, since the gene for slate is stilly pretty rare in the US, altho it's not entirely impossible. (Tho unless you have a black spot to compare with I would go with black.)

Subject: Slate CWS?????

One of my gerbils, Matilda or Tilly is slate and white.  On a website i read
and saw a picture and it fits her discription as a Slate CWS?  What does CWS
stand for?  She has a white star on her head...and white band along her
chest,  Thanks for your help.
