There's an antibiotic called Ornacycline that works well for respiratory
infections. You can get it at many Pet Stores. It's usually in the bird
section, but it works great for gerbils as well! :)

 Hi!
I was checking up on the 3 babies (from Donte and the late Molly's litter)
and realized that one has started to "click"
Well I immediately took the whole family out of the cage and put them in a
cage with nothing but toilet paper in it (the only thing in the house that I
could use at 5 in the morning) Now I know this is a sign of a respriatory
infection. I also remember that there is a medication I should be giving
them now at this point. I know that medication starts with a "d". The
problem is that last nite I had to get some space on my computer so I
deleted all my gerbil list messages I had saved....I need the name of the
medication so at 9 I can go get some. Also...is this a medication I have to
go to a vet to get or do stores carry it?
 Thank you
 Heather
