If we were talking about a dog with fleas I could help you out, since my
dog had fleas forever until we finally found something that worked. I
don't know how you would deal with them for an animal as small as a
gerbil, but I just thought I'd let you know that (assuming I'm
remembering correctly) those little black flakes aren't eggs, they're
actually the droppings that the fleas leave. I could be wrong though.
