It has now been almost three hours since the mother gerbil fed the pups or warmed them. This is longer than we would go without nursing a newborn human infant. Though I don't know about gerbils since I never had to worry before this time. Is there anything I can do to help this mother? Can newborns be fostered to a mother with pups 12 days old. The new mother is a pink or red eyed white and has two dark eyed babies, I was sure hoping at least the four healthy looking ones would make it. Help?
