Crystal (aaPpC*GgEef) & Lance (A*PpCCggeeSpsp) had what I thought was a dark-patched-pied lilac girl. I named her Aaliyah and was planning to keep her with my DPP black. She is the normal color of a slightly diluted lilac, with the darker patch on her back. I was playing with her, and it turns out she has *black* eyes! Do all DPPs have black eyes? I never remembered there being a distinguished gene for DPPs, just the regular Spsp. The parents don't have the genetic makeup to produce siamese, so I know she's not that. I have had lilacs before, and it looked like they had black eyes in some lights. But I've put Aaliyah under a lamp, in the dark, in medium light, and her eyes look black every time. Any ideas?
