I think this is the first time I have posted this particular message to this particular list. I hope I am not duplicating myself, But I need to get the word out about these guys.
Born September 10, 2001 about 12 hours before the trade center bombings...(see notes below) Sausage: spotted dove and his mate Biscuit: PEW, gave birth to five perfectly healthy pups and one apparent stillborn. Surviving pups: 3 females and two males all Pink Eyed White. I have decided to name the five surviving pups from the first litter in honor of US patriotism, due to the date of their birth being so close to the trade center bombings. They are up for adoption but I am naming them anyway, because the names I am giving them help me focus on survival not loss, and on how positive attitudes can help our country. Their names are as follows: America (girl) Amy for short Allegiance (girl) Allie for short Independence (boy) Indy for short Liberty (girl) Libby for short Justice (boy) no short form Anyone wishing to adopt please email me. Since I cannot tell them apart, except males from females, whoever gets first pick has their choice from the names too, assuming they are keeping their original names. Which I would not require, but would hope for, considering the meaning in them. I am willing to drive up to 70 miles to meet someone partway if anyone is interested. I live in Sherman Texas, so anyone close let me know if you want one. If you live farther there is still a good possibility a rideshare could be arranged to bring the gerbils your way.
