I personally LOVE black gerbils. But since I have one who is about to have pups I don't want to adopt anymore. I think that is the major reason why black and agouti are often rejected. They ARE common. Meaning there are many more of them than the unusual colors. So they are less in demand. That is unfortunate. But its the way it is. It really isn't that people dislike the colors. Its more that they think "Oh I have lots of those, I want that odd color one over there."
