I begin picking up the pups at one week (that was for my first litter) and the mom didn't mind at all. I know that I would really be kicking myself if I hadn't picked them up when they were young, it is a great experience and they also learn quickly to enjoy being picked up (as opposed to picking them up after their eyes opened and them being terrified of you) at least try stroking them while their mother and father are distracted (eating, etc.) ~*AnnA*~
