I would switch over to aspen, Carefresh, or cedar if I were you. Especially if you are breeding since pups have even more sensitive respiratory systems. It is of course your choice, but my feeling is why take the rist when other beddings are easily accessible?

I had a trio M-M-F and they bonded and mated successfully. I didn't take it all the way to the birthing stage, because I suddenly needed a male to pair up with a female. I think danger spots would be the night of the birth, the second mating, and the first few days of pup rearing and would keep a close eye on them then.
