I'd suggest you post a request at your neighborhood pet stores and vet offices.
Mineral deposits? I think the fish tank I'm using for our gerbils has that. Can it hurt the gerbils? That can't be what's contributing to their respiratory illness, can it? I washed the tank well with hot water before I put them into it. -Jean
