I had the easiest intro of my life the other day. I put one of my 7 week old males in
with Patch, who is getting up there in age and who had been showing signs of being
very lonely during the past few months. I didn't bother with a split cage, just
dropped 7 week old Whiskers in with Patch, who was thrilled! He was grooming little
Whiskers in less than 5 minutes. Then for some reason Whiskers took it into his tiny
little head to be scared of Patch, so he played "hide and squeak" for awhile. It was
hilarious, every time Patch walked by the tube Whiskers had taken refuge in, Whiskers
squeaked loudly. Patch could be ignoring him completely, and it didn't matter. One
glimpse of Patch, even just Patch's tail going by, and Whiskers was "SQUEAK! SQUEAK!"
Once he was convinced Patch wasn't going to eat him, he came out and got himself
groomed again. They were sleeping together a couple of hours later. No more lonely
Patch! :)
