Hi all,

I didn't check for replies until a minute ago and this
is when I've already reclanned Cairo and Zerwin.

I went on advice of another gerbil friend and she said
since they were not attacking each other thru the
bars, to introduce them in neutral territory.

I brought them to a different room and let them meet
on the bed, ready with heavy gloves. :P

They ran past each other, sniffed each other, ran
more, sniffed more.

I put them in a small kritter keeper with clean
bedding and had my sister hover over them with gloves
while I cleaned out the tank with bleach and water.

They groomed each other, two times each, then settled
down to sleep. I kept them together in that for a
while while I cleaned everything.

I put fresh bedding into the tank along with scrubbed
bowls. It's pretty empty now, except for a few new
tubes and a new wooden house. I put them in and now
they're asleep in the wooden house together.

Thanks everyone, I'll be keeping a close eye on them
for a while.

This may have been the most frightening part of
keeping gerbils.. yeesh. At least I learned something
*very* important.. :P

Christina
