I noticed when a baby crawls out of the nest the mothers supposed to get him/her and put him/her back in the nest, my gerbil mother doesnt. She had a litter before. I went in my room to check out the gerbils and one of the babies were in the corner cold and alone. The mother seen it there but didnt bother to put it back. So i put the baby back with the others. Is she a bad mother? also one of my pups in the last litter didnt grow and the mother ate him. Again theres another one that so much smaller then the others and Im afraid shes gonna eat him too. What should I do?? -Theresa
