Chandrika,
The M71 warning message is probably not a problem, assuming your
drill sizes are actually supposed to be in metric. 99% of the display
errors with drill files are due to trailing/leading zero errors in the
exporter. To try to troubleshoot this, once you open the file, you can
right click on the side menu layer and select "edit file format", and
try manually selecting different settings. Gerbv will reload the file
with each change and you can see if that helps. Otherwise, you could
send me the file in question so I can look at it.
Hope this helps--
Julian

Good Morning,
We use Rimu PCB software here at NIC for drawing layouts. I need your
assistance in fixing following problems that I am facing while using
"gerbv - A Free/Open Source Gerber Viewer".
1. The drill file that I export from Rimu PCB software which is of
.drl format is unable to be read by gerbv.
2. The .dru file is also not read correctly by gerbv.
3. There is an error saying "M71 code found but no METRIC
specification in header" in the messages.
Please help.
Thank you,
