Human-readable, flat-file-based persistency for the directory db is something that could work if it was implemented so that online-configuration is done against the directory/db, but configuring from the flat-file was still possible when the server was not running. This would eliminate some of the problems. However, file-formatting and comments would propably be lost each restart making the usability of the configuration file very bad. > You might like to add your thoughts to the > http://nagoya.apache.org/wiki/apachewiki.cgi?ApacheJ2EE/Configuration > pages.
