There are still a few unimplemented methods in the JavaMail API, and I've yet to write an of the providers (so it won't work, obviously :-) but at least the API will allow code to be compiled against it.
Only problem is, there's just over 100 classes and I don't think I'd be flavour of the month if I e-mailed the JAR to everyone, so can a committer drop me a mail so that I can send it to one individually? You might want to reply to this message to the group so that someone else doesn't pick it up.
I've also created two new modules in the 'specs' directory:
specs\
javamail\
src\
java\
test\
activation\
src\
javaJavaMail needs to depend on activation, which at the moment is only two placeholder classes (but the API doesn't seem that difficult to import in).
So, who can I send this lovely patchette to?
Alex.
