Am I right that in order to extract the "j2eeType" property from the String supplied by J2EEServer, we could do something like this:
new ObjectName(name).getKeyProperty("j2eeType")
Yes. I have submitted a patch - a long time ago - GERONIMO-14, which defines an helper class to extract the vaue of the j2eeType property. I hoped to define an utility class in order to handle the object names of Manageable Objects.
