As a developer targeting a set of application servers
I would certainly prefer it if the app server specific
descriptors were only used to augment the standard
descriptors. It is then easier to see what is app
server specific.

P.S. We also use xdoclet but there is still no substitute
for opening up the configuration files in an editor :-)
