Odd. Turning on the logging makes the problem disappear.
I knew Geronimo would change the J2EE scene, but it's changed the way bugs are fixed (and thus most developers' minds). Just turning on the logging and the bug is gone :-)
Seriuosly, I'm having the same problem :-(
